6 | | FEBRUARY - 2022In the digital age, enterprises have more or less conquered the challenge of drawing actionable insights from a never-ending surge of data. Organizations have implemented data-driven analytics to analyze large pool of unstructured data. With the arrival of Management Information Systems (MIS), the data volumes have doubled as enterprises started taking a secondary copy of the transactional data--one data copy for the transactional system, and an additional copy for the MIS reporting tool. IT departments needed to scale and process data at an unprecedented rate that was not possible to achieve through conventional data analytics. Businesses started shifting towards Cloud computing over in-house data storage systems to achieve such rapid data scalability and provide hosting for data analytics tools. Internet of Things is also driving exponential data growth, and this new phase of data growth is not limited by the number of IT users and the number of IT applications. These sources of raw data have driven the growth of robust database technologies and better data analytics tools. Additionally, the use of AI in data analytics is making inroads into newer sectors by revolutionizing the predictive analytics space. Despite the minor diffidence, growing innovations in the data analytics space seem amazingly promising for they can not only advance the current process but also invent novel solutions for many complex issues.Write us your thoughts.EditorialTaking Businesses to New Heights Copyright © 2022 ValleyMedia, Inc.
